In order to assist organizations with organizing community activities and media outreach around the broadcasts, P.O.V. distributed resource kits to partnering organizations an participating public television stations. The kits included information about to guide organizations in the press promotion and planning of community engagement activities, facilitation guides for leading sensitive and substantive discussion around issues, as well as extensive resources and information relative to border issues. These materials are available online at P.O.V. Interactive's companion web site.

WEB SITE

P.O.V. produced a companion Web site for the film which enabled viewers to delve deeper into the issues presented, interact with the filmmaker and one another, and find links to resources and lesson plans. Visitors to the site were able to review recent coverage and updated information on the murders, find out more about maquiladoras, debate the pros and cons of NAFTA, learn more about Juárez and life along the border, and connect with organizations who are building awareness campaigns.
