A conversation on keeping the family farm through the lens of dairy producers, featuring a free screening of the new film, “Farmsteaders.” “Farmsteaders points an honest and tender lens at the beauty and hardship of everyday life, as the Nolans (an Ohio dairy family) work to balance their fears and hopes with so much at stake. For the Nolans only three things remain certain: family is everything, nothing ever stays the same, and the land holds it all together.” The community discussion following the film will be led by a panel of local female dairy producers who have found creative ways to keep their farms afloat during hard economic times within the dairy industry.
