"I am so excited to see these talented filmmakers honored for their work that spans continents, issues and such a range of experiences of the human condition," said Erika Dilday, executive director of American Documentary and executive producer of POV and America ReFramed. "Each of these stories was crafted with care, intention and a deep responsibility to the people and stories at the center. These films speak not only to craft but to a kind of storytelling that builds understanding and invites us to see each other more fully. It’s been a privilege to collaborate with these teams to bring their work to a wider audience."
"Some films just inform. Chasing Time connects," said Opal H. Bennett, executive producer, POV Shorts and senior producer, POV. "It brings generations together around the urgent issue of climate change, and does so with striking visual evidence. This nomination—a testament to the filmmakers' vision and craft—honors the intention behind the work. We were so glad to bring it to television audiences through POV Shorts, and I couldn't be prouder of Sara, Jeff and the entire team at Exposure Labs."
The 47th News & Documentary Emmy® Awards ceremony will be held at Jazz at Lincoln Center in Manhattan. The winners in the Documentary Categories will be presented live May 28, 2026, and will be streamed live on NATAS’ dedicated viewing platform powered by Vimeo, available on the web at watch.theemmys.tv and via The Emmy® apps for iOS, tvOS, Android, FireTV, and Roku.
