Reel Abilities

Kerry LeVielle and Cayla Clements will attend ReelAbilities in NYC. Approaching its 20th year, the festival is presented by a leading global non-profit organization that centers disability-focused cinema and authentic representation in the media. Through innovative programming, ReelAbilities seeks to reframe disability, challenge stereotypes, celebrate authentic representation in film and advocate for expanding opportunities for disabled filmmakers worldwide.

Visions du Réel
April 17-26 | Nyon, Switzerland
Robert Y. Chang will head to Visions du Réel, an annual international documentary film festival held on the shores of Lake Geneva. In this 57th edition, this leading festival presents over 150 films, including 83 world premieres of films that possess a singular voice, harness personal expression, offer multiple perspectives and subjectivities and demonstrate approaches in formal experimentation.

Hot Docs Festival
April 23 - May 3 | Toronto, Canada
Opal H. Bennett and Chris White will convene in Toronto for the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival—North America's leading doc festival, conference and market—which since its inception in 1996 has been at the forefront of nonfiction film programming from around the world. The festival will present over 100+ films from 51 countries and territories making this a truly dynamic and rich industry exhibition experience.

San Francisco International Film Festival
April 24 - May 4 | San Francisco, CA
Gina Basso will attend the 69th edition of SFIFF, the longest running film festival in the Americas. Presenting over 200 films with several documentary sections, their programming focuses on the intersection of imagination, global perspectives and the latest technology alongside boundary pushing new media forms.

PitchBLACK Forum 2026
April 29 - 30 | New York, NY
Robert Y. Chang will traverse the city to hear some of the latest documentary pitch sessions from the Apollo Stages in Harlem. The PitchBLACK Forum is an annual invitational pitch session hosted by Black Public Media with a focus on independent documentary filmmakers and creative technologists whose content reflects the Black experience. Participants pitch their projects for production funding for a jury of industry leaders from around the world.
