StoryCorps Shorts: Military Voices

StoryCorps' Military Voices Initiative aims to bridge the gap between veterans and civilians. This initiative provides a platform for post-9/11 veterans, service members and their families to record their stories, and shares them with the public through monthly broadcasts on NPR. Told in the voices of veterans and their family members, these recordings, including three animated shorts — 1st Squad, 3rd Platoon, The Nature of War and The Last Viewing — honor their experiences and let veterans know that we — as a nation — are listening.
