Nathan Truesdell

Director

Nathan Truesdell is a Director/Producer/Cinematographer/Editor based in Los Angeles, CA with over 10 years experience in documentary filmmaking. He produced and shot such short films as David Wilson's Big Birding Day (2010) and Jarred Alterman's Dear Valued Guests (2013). Truesdell was also one of many cinematographers on AJ Schnack's Speaking is Difficult and produced Michael Palmieri and Donal Mosher's Peace in the Valley, which were both in competition at Sundance in 2016. He is a long time collaborator with AJ Schnack and produced feature documentaries such as Schnack and Wilson's We Always Lie to Strangers (2013) along with Schnack's Convention (2013) and Caucus (2015). Truesdell was director of photography for the Al Jazeera America documentary series Midterms (2014). He recently shot Mia Donovan's Deprogrammed (2015) and was a cinematographer and editor on Nick Berardini's Killing Them Safely (2015), which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Truesdell recently produced AJ Schnack's Primaries (2016), directed the award winning short Balloonfest (2016), directed and edited The Water Slide (2018), and is directing The Art of Making Money (2018) for Field of Vision.
