POV and POV Shorts Nominated in IDA Awards
POV nominated best Curated Series and POV Shorts for Best Short Form Series
Los Angeles, Calif. — October 23, 2018 — POV and POV Shorts have been named nominees in the 35th International Documentary Association (IDA) Awards. POV was nominated for Best Curated Series, while POV Shorts is a nominee for Best Short Form Series. Earlier this month, three POV films, Roll Red Roll, The Feeling of Being Watched and Midnight Traveler, had been named on the Features Shortlist for the IDA Documentary Awards.
POV won the prize for Best Curated Series at the 34th IDA Documentary Awards, held last year at Paramount Studios. This is the third year in a row POV has been nominated in the category—the PBS series has won Best Curated Series five times in the past decade.
This is also POV Shorts' first time named in a series category for the IDA Awards. POV Shorts is now in its second season on PBS.
The IDA Awards will take place Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Paramount Theater in Los Angeles.
